Salt-laden air can accelerate corrosion. Equipment selection, additional protection and ongoing care all matter at an exposed site.
Selected Mitsubishi Electric systems, including models in the AP Smart, EF Designer and LN Black Diamond ranges, use Blue Fin treatment on the outdoor heat exchanger to slow corrosion from airborne salt and sulphur. We confirm the exact model’s specification.
We consider sea-air exposure, the unit position, drainage, airflow and access for maintenance. Indoor equipment may also be exposed to corrosive air.
Exposed sites may need additional treatment. Where appropriate, we can discuss BDT’s approved Nyalic application service and confirm its scope before ordering.
Protection still needs maintenance. We recommend care to suit the site and equipment. Corrosion cover depends on the manufacturer’s terms, the treatment supplied and its maintenance.
